The Founders' Story

Abel Makers Inc. is the culmination of a lifelong passion shared by its founders, Scott Penna and Laura.

Scott Penna: A Lifelong Advocate

Scott's dedication to the special needs community began in 1999. For over two decades, he has been a hands-on advocate, starting a bowling league in the early 2000s for adults and children with disabilities. His commitment deepened in 2021when he began serving with Shine, a special needs ministry. Through this work, Scott recognized a critical gap: the need for specialized, inclusive curriculum that could reach a population often underserved by the Gospel. His heartfelt mission is to expand Abel Makers Inc. globally, bringing these vital resources to people worldwide and expanding God's kingdom.

Laura: Entrepreneurship with a Heart

At 36, Laura is a dynamic leader with a successful background in entrepreneurship. Her business acumen is matched only by her deep commitment to social causes. For years, she has volunteered closely with adults and children with disabilities, notably at Shine at Trinity New Life Church. Her hands-on experience has given her a profound understanding of this community's challenges and opportunities. Under her leadership, Abel Makers Inc. is dedicated to breaking down barriers, fostering entrepreneurship, and creating a future of inclusion and empowerment.
